„Maat’s Scheuer“ ist eigentlich dem Zufall geschuldet. Gesucht war eine Scheune „Scheuer“ als Unterstellmöglichkeit für Traktor und Maschinen. Das zur Scheune gehörige Bauernhaus war Liebe auf den ersten Blick. Mit viel Leidenschaft und handwerklichem Geschick hat „Maat“ es in fünf Jahren zum Ferienhaus umgebaut und es zu einem wahren Schmuckstück für das verträumte Bauerndörfchen „Hamm“ gemacht.
Bei der Einrichtung der Zimmer hat er das Ziel verfolgt, den bäuerlichen Charme durch authentische Einrichtungsgegenstände und Möbel zu unterstreichen. So ist ein Platz entstanden, an dem Familien mit Kindern oder auch ein Freundeskreis mit bis zu 10 Personen gemeinsam Urlaub an der Saar machen können.
Secluded in the middle of a peninsula in the Saar, it is only a few minutes to Saarburg, where you will find numerous shopping and leisure facilities.
From Maat’s Scheuer you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the Serrig vineyards and watch the hang-gliders take off from the opposite slope, the “beautiful view”, and land 200 m from the vacation home.
The “Hamm” is a small district of the municipality of Taben-Rodt in the Saarburger Land, with only 18 houses, just a few meters from the Saar. Enjoy the view of the Serrig vineyards, take a bike ride along the Saar or go hiking in the surrounding area. The romantic town of Saarburg with its shopping facilities is just a few minutes away by car.
Mettlach, the ceramic community at the Saarschleife, can be reached in 10 minutes by car.
