As a „Qualitätsgastgeber Wanderbares Deutschland“ certified by the German Hiking Association, we provide you with competent and professional advice.
Of course, we also welcome hikers who only want to stay one night to experience the entire region on foot. Or you can stay with us for a few days and start day trips from Mettlach, e.g. in the direction of Saarburg/Trier, Merzig/Saarlouis or the Moselle valley. There is a good train connection along the Saar, which you can always use to return to Mettlach. If there is no train connection, we will be happy to pick you up at your destination – please contact us.

Hiking tours without luggage? With pleasure!
We can help you find accommodation at the next stage location and transport your luggage there at a reasonable price.
Fancy a little picnic on the way, e.g. at the Vogelfelsen in Saarhölzbach with a fantastic view of the Saar valley? You can put together a tasty packed lunch at breakfast for an extra charge.
If you get wet, you can simply dry your clothes in our drying cellar.
